Molecularly imprinted polymer sorbent

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007527

A polymeric material engineered with specific recognition sites that are complementary in shape, size, and chemical functionality to a target molecule. These sorbents are created by polymerizing monomers around a template molecule, which is subsequently removed. They are used for selective binding and separation in techniques like solid-phase extraction.
