Molecular imprinting

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007500

A technique for creating polymers with specific recognition sites for a target molecule. This involves polymerizing monomers around a template molecule, which is then removed to leave a cavity that selectively binds the original template. The resulting material can be used for separation, sensing, or catalysis.
