Template polymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011860
A polymerization process where monomer units are assembled and polymerized along a pre-existing macromolecular template. The template guides the arrangement of the monomers, influencing the sequence, tacticity, or overall architecture of the newly formed polymer chain. This method is used to create polymers with specific structures or properties that might be difficult to achieve through conventional polymerization.
