Temporal lobe

A region of the cerebral cortex in each hemisphere of the brain, located beneath the lateral fissure. It is primarily involved in processing auditory information, encoding memory, and comprehending language. The temporal lobe contains structures such as the hippocampus, which is associated with memory formation, and Wernicke's area, which is linked to speech comprehension.
