Monoisotopic mass
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007547
The mass of a molecule calculated using the exact masses of its most abundant naturally occurring isotopes for each constituent atom. This mass corresponds to the peak with the lowest mass-to-charge ratio in a mass spectrum of an intact molecule. It is distinct from the average molecular mass, which uses weighted average isotopic masses.
