Negative ion chemical ionization

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007805

A mass spectrometry ionization technique where analyte molecules react with negatively charged reagent ions to form negative product ions. This method is particularly useful for compounds with high electron affinity or those that readily form stable negative ions. It is considered a soft ionization technique, minimizing fragmentation.
