A unit of scent emission, equal to that of an average person, taken as a sitting adult with 1.8 m2 of skin who bathes 0.7 times a day. The emission of other people or objects is rated against it by trained panels comparing normed scents. It differs from the decipol, the unit of perceived air quality, which also accounts for the ventilation air flow.
