Maximum average daily concentration of an atmospheric pollutant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007045
The highest value among the 24-hour mean concentrations of an air pollutant found at one monitoring point over a stated observation period. It is a statistic of measured data, not a legal limit, and it is compared against air quality standards, which are commonly given in micrograms per cubic metre.
