Maximum emission concentration

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007048

The highest permissible concentration of a specific pollutant that is allowed to be discharged into the atmosphere from a stationary source. This regulatory limit is set by environmental protection agencies to control air quality and minimize public health risks. The value is expressed in units of mass per volume, such as milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m³), under standard conditions of temperature and pressure.
