Paw-reaching test

A behavioral assessment used in neuroscience to evaluate fine motor coordination and skilled forelimb function in rodents. Animals are trained to reach for and retrieve food pellets from a narrow slot. The success rate and movement patterns provide insights into motor deficits, often following brain injury or neurotoxic exposure.
