Righting test

A behavioral test used in toxicology and neuropharmacology to assess an animal's ability to regain an upright posture after being placed on its back. The time taken to right itself is measured, providing an indicator of motor coordination, proprioception, and central nervous system function. It is often used to evaluate the sedative or hypnotic effects of substances.
