PC-12 cell
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008557
A cell line derived from a rat pheochromocytoma, a tumor of the adrenal medulla. These cells exhibit characteristics of neuroendocrine cells and can differentiate into sympathetic neuron-like cells in the presence of nerve growth factor. They are widely used as an in vitro model for studying neuronal differentiation, neurotoxicity, and neurosecretion.
