Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate

A potent tumor promoter and a synthetic analog of diacylglycerol, which is a natural activator of protein kinase C (PKC). This compound is widely used in research to activate PKC and study its downstream signaling pathways. It can induce cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis depending on the cell type.
