Trisomy 13

A severe chromosomal disorder caused by the presence of an extra copy of chromosome 13, also known as Patau syndrome. This condition is characterized by multiple congenital malformations, including severe intellectual disability, heart defects, cleft lip and palate, and polydactyly. Most infants with trisomy 13 do not survive beyond the first year of life.
