Protein kinase C
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009581
A family of serine/threonine protein kinases that regulate the activity of other proteins by adding phosphate groups to them. These enzymes are activated by intracellular signals, such as increases in diacylglycerol and calcium ion concentrations. Protein kinase C isoforms play roles in cell growth, differentiation, and immune responses.
