Embryoid body
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003836
A three-dimensional aggregate of pluripotent stem cells that spontaneously forms in vitro under specific culture conditions. These structures mimic early embryonic development and contain cells from all three germ layers: ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm. Embryoid bodies are widely used as a model system for studying differentiation and tissue development.
