Endoderm
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003895
A primary germ layer that forms during early embryonic development, giving rise to the lining of the digestive and respiratory tracts. This tissue layer also differentiates into organs such as the liver, pancreas, and thyroid gland. It is one of three germ layers, along with the ectoderm and mesoderm, from which all tissues and organs of the body develop.
