Trilaminar embryo

An embryonic stage characterized by the formation of three distinct germ layers: the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm. This developmental stage, known as gastrulation, occurs during the third week of human gestation. Each germ layer subsequently differentiates into specific tissues and organs of the developing organism.
