Bilaminar embryo
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001216
An early stage of embryonic development characterized by the formation of two distinct germ layers: the epiblast and the hypoblast. This structure arises from the inner cell mass of the blastocyst, typically around day 8-9 of human development. These two layers will subsequently give rise to all the tissues and organs of the developing organism.
