Embryonic disc

A flattened, bilaminar or trilaminar structure that develops from the inner cell mass of the blastocyst during early embryonic development. It is composed of distinct cell layers that will give rise to all the tissues and organs of the developing embryo. In humans, the bilaminar disc forms around day 8 of gestation.
