Mesoderm
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007209
One of the three primary germ layers in early embryonic development, situated between the ectoderm and endoderm. This layer gives rise to many tissues and organs, including muscle, bone, connective tissue, the circulatory system, and the urogenital system. Its formation is a key event during gastrulation in vertebrate embryos.
