Pharynx

A muscular tube that extends from the base of the skull to the esophagus, serving as a common passageway for both air and food. It connects the nasal and oral cavities to the larynx and esophagus, playing a role in respiration, digestion, and vocalization. This structure is divided into three main regions: the nasopharynx, oropharynx, and laryngopharynx.
