Organogenesis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008316
The process of organ formation during embryonic development, following gastrulation. During this period, the three germ layers (ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm) differentiate and interact to form the rudimentary structures of all major organs. In humans, this phase occurs primarily between the third and eighth weeks of gestation.
