Perikinetic coagulation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008639
The aggregation of colloidal particles driven by their random thermal motion, known as Brownian motion. This process occurs when particles collide due to their kinetic energy and adhere to each other. The rate of perikinetic coagulation is dependent on factors such as particle concentration, temperature, and the stability of the dispersion.
