Perikinetic aggregation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008638

The process of particle aggregation in a colloidal suspension driven by random Brownian motion, where particles collide and coalesce due to their thermal energy. This type of aggregation is dominant in quiescent or slowly stirred systems. The rate of perikinetic aggregation depends on factors such as particle concentration and solution viscosity.
