Phage display

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008708

A laboratory technique used to study protein-protein, protein-peptide, and protein-DNA interactions by displaying proteins on the surface of bacteriophages. A gene encoding a protein of interest is inserted into a phage coat protein gene, causing the protein to be expressed on the phage surface. This method is widely used for antibody engineering and drug discovery.
