Polymer crystal
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009166
A region within a polymeric material where the polymer chains are arranged in a highly ordered, three-dimensional periodic structure. Unlike atomic crystals, polymer crystals often contain chain folds and defects due to the long, entangled nature of macromolecules. The degree of crystallinity significantly influences the mechanical and thermal properties of a polymer.
