Polyphenylenevinylenes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009225
A class of conjugated polymers characterized by repeating units of phenylene and vinylene groups along the polymer backbone. These materials exhibit semiconducting properties due to the delocalization of pi-electrons across the conjugated system. They are often used in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and other optoelectronic devices, with their emission wavelength tunable by varying the conjugation length.
