Polythiophenes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009247
A class of conjugated polymers derived from thiophene monomers, characterized by a backbone of repeating thiophene units linked through their alpha positions. These polymers exhibit semiconducting properties due to the delocalization of pi-electrons along the polymer chain. They are often used in organic electronics, such as in organic light-emitting diodes and solar cells.
