poly[3,4-(ethylenedioxy)thiophene]
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009092
A conductive polymer derived from the monomer 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene, commonly known as PEDOT. It is an organic semiconductor with high conductivity, optical transparency, and stability, making it suitable for applications in electronics. When doped with polystyrenesulfonate (PSS), the resulting aqueous dispersion, PEDOT:PSS, is one of the most widely used transparent conductive materials for organic light-emitting diodes, solar cells, and antistatic coatings.
