Polypyrroles
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009230
A class of conjugated polymers formed by the oxidative polymerization of pyrrole monomers. The resulting polymer chains consist of repeating pyrrole units linked through their alpha carbons, creating a delocalized pi-electron system. These materials are electrically conductive when doped and are employed in applications such as sensors, actuators, and antistatic coatings due to their redox activity and environmental stability.
