Electrically conducting polymer composite
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003647
A material formed by dispersing electrically conductive fillers, such as carbon black, carbon nanotubes, or metal particles, within an insulating polymer matrix. The composite becomes electrically conductive when the concentration of the conductive filler exceeds a critical value known as the percolation threshold, forming a continuous conductive pathway. These materials combine the processability of polymers with electrical conductivity.
