Polysilanes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009236
A class of inorganic polymers characterized by a backbone consisting entirely of silicon atoms, with organic side groups attached to each silicon. These polymers exhibit interesting electronic and optical properties due to the delocalization of sigma electrons along the silicon backbone. They are explored for applications in photolithography, sensors, and electroluminescent devices.
