Homochain polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005353
A polymer whose main chain is composed solely of atoms of a single element. This means the backbone of the polymer does not contain different types of atoms in a repeating sequence. Examples include polyethylene, where the main chain consists only of carbon atoms, and polysilanes, which have a silicon backbone.
