Skeletal structure
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010927
The arrangement of the main chain atoms, or skeletal atoms, that form the continuous backbone of a polymer molecule. This structure defines the fundamental connectivity and sequence of the polymer, excluding the pendant groups or side chains. It is often represented by a simplified diagram showing only the backbone atoms and their connections.
