Polyalkylene

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009097

A polymer whose main chain consists solely of carbon atoms, with all carbon-carbon bonds being single bonds. These polymers are saturated hydrocarbons, meaning they contain no double or triple bonds within the backbone. Polyethylene and polypropylene are common examples of polyalkylenes, widely used in packaging and fibers.
