Polyalkynylene
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009098
A polymer whose macromolecules contain exclusively alkyne-diyl constitutional repeating units, each made of a carbon-carbon triple bond followed by m methylene groups, so every repeat unit carries an alkyne in the backbone. Poly(phenylene ethynylene) is not one, because its arylene units place it in the separate class of polyarylenethynylenes.
