Polyolefin
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009214
A class of polymers formed from olefin (alkene) monomers through addition polymerization. These polymers consist solely of carbon and hydrogen atoms, making them non-polar and hydrophobic. Common examples include polyethylene and polypropylene, which are widely used in packaging, pipes, and automotive components due to their durability and low cost.
