Durability
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003480
The capacity of a material or product to maintain its intended function and properties over a specified period under expected conditions of use. This characteristic encompasses resistance to degradation from physical, chemical, and biological factors. For polymers, durability is often assessed through accelerated aging tests that simulate environmental exposure.
