Population at risk
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009266
The group of people who are exposed to the agent being studied and are able to develop the adverse health effect in question, which forms the denominator when incidence is calculated. Individuals who already have the condition are excluded. Children are a typical susceptible subgroup for lead, since they absorb a larger fraction of ingested lead than adults.
