Proteogenomics
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013447
An integrated approach that combines proteomics and genomics data to enhance the understanding of biological systems. This field uses genomic information to improve protein identification and characterization, particularly for novel proteins or splice variants not annotated in standard databases. It can reveal how genetic variations manifest at the protein level.
