Quadriplegia
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009720
Paralysis affecting all four limbs, including the arms and legs, as well as the torso. This condition results from damage high up on the spinal cord, which interrupts the flow of nerve impulses from the brain to the body below the site of injury. The specific level of the cervical spine injury determines the extent of the loss of motor and sensory function.
