Ratio
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009951
A quantitative relationship between two numbers or quantities, indicating how many times one value contains or is contained within the other. In analytical chemistry, ratios are frequently used to express concentrations, compare signal intensities, or describe stoichiometric relationships. It is often presented as a fraction, a decimal, or with a colon, such as 1:2.
