Dimensionless quantities

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003224

Physical quantities that are expressed as pure numbers, without any associated physical units. These quantities are typically ratios of two quantities with the same units, or products and quotients of quantities that result in unit cancellation. Examples include the Reynolds number in fluid dynamics and the refractive index in optics.
