Recall antigen
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010007
An antigen to which an individual has previously been exposed and developed an immune response, leading to the presence of memory cells. Upon re-exposure, these memory cells facilitate a rapid and amplified secondary immune response. Examples include tetanus toxoid or purified protein derivative (PPD) used in tuberculosis testing.
