Remote sensing
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010179
A collection of methods for gathering information about an object, area, or phenomenon from a distance, without direct physical contact. These techniques rely on detecting and measuring radiation, particles, or fields emitted or reflected by the target. Satellite-based platforms using multispectral imaging are a common application for monitoring environmental changes on a global scale.
