Gas sensing electrode
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004763
A type of ion-selective electrode designed to measure the concentration of dissolved gases in a solution. It typically consists of a gas-permeable membrane separating the sample from an internal electrolyte solution and a conventional ion-selective electrode. The gas diffuses across the membrane, changing the pH or other property of the internal solution, which is then detected.
