Rouse chain
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010443
A theoretical model of a polymer chain that treats the chain as a series of beads connected by entropic springs, moving in a viscous medium without hydrodynamic interactions. This model simplifies the complex dynamics of polymer chains by neglecting chain entanglement and excluded volume effects. It is primarily used to describe the dynamics of unentangled polymer melts and dilute solutions.
