Schedule-controlled operant behaviour
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010571
Behavior that is maintained and regulated by a specific schedule of reinforcement, where the pattern and rate of responding are directly influenced by the rules governing reinforcer delivery. This type of behavior is studied extensively in operant conditioning to understand how environmental contingencies shape actions. Examples include lever pressing by a rat on a fixed-ratio schedule.
