Reinforcement

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010130

A process in behavioral psychology where a consequence following a behavior increases the likelihood of that behavior occurring again. This can involve presenting a desirable stimulus (positive reinforcement) or removing an undesirable stimulus (negative reinforcement). The effect is measured by observing changes in the frequency or intensity of the target behavior.
